Organisational change in the INTERFJORD group

As a part of our growth and future strategy for the INTERFJORD group we have chosen to expand and strengthen the group management of INTERFJORD.

As of May 1, 2020 we shall establish a new management function in the INTERFJORD group that will have a co-ordinate position within the management together with Henrik, Casper and Jens. The management function is supposed to strengthen and be the overall responsible for the management of our finance department, administration, IT, HR-administration, optimization and quality control.

The function will become part of the management group with professional back-and-forth to the board as to the company’s growth and future strategies.

Jan Bach

As head of this management field we employed Jan Bach who will join our company as group financial director on May 1, 2020.

Jan Bach is 61 years old and has lots of management experience. He has a background as a qualified auditor and a long career as financial director and afterwards CEO of the printing and bookbinding company of Chr. Hendriksen & Søn A/S and Dipak A/S in Skive, where Jan was responsible for finances, IT, production, service, warehouse and logistics – and for sale and project sale at home and abroad.

Jan joins us from his present position at Stykgodscentret Skive A/S, where he is the sounding board to the management, and he is overall responsible for finances, HR and IT.

Jan is further to his long management career member of the board of CS Grafisk A/S and chairman of the board for the car company of Dahl Pedersen A/S, being an authorized dealer of the car brands of Volvo, Renault and Dacia in Skive, Viborg and Holstebro. Jan is also the member of a network group within internationalization, business management, productivity, competitive conditions and progress.

Jan lives in Skive with his wife Inger, and they have two children now living away from the parental home. He has a wide range of leisure pursuits – he is a dedicated family man, and furthermore he is a morning swimmer, he plays badminton and is interested in culture, cooking, travelling, skiing, and not least cars and motoring.

Jan is an outgoing person, a socially strong leader with much professional competency. And qua his many different job functions over the years he also has a great commercial approach to his coming tasks.

We look forward to the cooperation with Jan.

 Carsten Dalgaard Krogh

In connection with the managerial changes Carsten has chosen to move on to new challenges outside the INTERFJORD group. Carsten has been a great driving force as to modifications and process improvements and he very efficiently took charge of all financial functions, HR administration, GDPR integration – and not least was he a great help in our development and transfer to our new IT system.

Carsten has shown great loyalty to our decision about the managerial changes – and he promised to complete the annual reports for the entire group as well as budgets for all INTERFJORD companies for 2020. After that Carsten will leave his position, once he finds his dream job, or not later than April 30, 2020. We want to thank Carsten for working so hard, and we wish him all the best and good luck in future.

Jørgen Madsen

Further to the organisational change in the INTERFJORD group Jørgen Madsen will be appointed as controller. In cooperation with Jan Jørgen will be responsible for a continuation of NAV integration, NAV training, process improvements, insurance overview and management reporting, etc.

The INTERFJORD group – looking ahead

During only a few years INTERFJORD grew from being a minor forwarding company into now being a group with more than 100 employees and with fine and well run branches in Stavanger, Frederikshavn, Randers, Glyngøre and Krakow, all contributing with growth and positive results – which we can only be pleased with.

That said - we also need to look ahead and still have new ambitions for the future, and meet the untapped potentials, opportunities as well as challenges that we are facing.

For that reason we also found it important to strengthen the management group – in order to be in a strong position towards new objectives and challenges.

We hope you will all meet our organisational change in a positive way, and should you have any questions in this respect we hope to hear from you.

Best regards,
